
The SOURCE is currently accepting applications for the 2012-2013 SOURCE Board of Governors (SBOG). The SOURCE Board of Governors (SBOG) Team is comprised of 4 collaborative leaders who work to provide resources and services to the over 450+ student organizations at The University of Alabama. Each position has a specific, unique function that works to improve collaboration between organizations, create effectiveness in organization leadership, and offer resources to help students run their organizations effectively. Interested applicants should be prepared to submit a resume and letter of recommendation from at least one faculty member (in electronic format) via our SBOG Director online application. They will also be asked to respond to the questions about the mission of The SOURCE, their vision for the position for which they are applying, and to explain qualities and experiences that will make them an ideal candidate for the position.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:59PM CST. Interviews will take place between Friday, April 6, 2012 & Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Final selection notifications will take place on April 11, 2012 and students who are selected will be recognized at our April 12th Profiles in Service and Leadership Banquet at 6:30pm in the Ferguson Center Ballroom.

The SOURCE is designed to provide resources and support for registered student organizations on the campus of the University of Alabama. Currently there are more than 350 registered student organizations atthe Capstone.
The SOURCE will also serve as the place for students to learn how to get involved with registered student organizations at UA. The SOURCE will consist of a virtual site managed by the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership. Hosted by OrgSync, this virtual site will serve as a vibrant web community to assist student leaders in the management and administration of their individual organizations.
Registered student organizations can also get support for their training and development needs from the newly established SOURCE Board of Governors. In an effort to enhance the experiences of student organization leaders, the Board of Governors' role will be to provide a variety of training opportunities and resources. Including how to use their webspace through OrgSync.
